About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Personal Banker to join our team at BMO. As a Personal Banker, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing financial solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide proactive and personalized service to our customers, identifying their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their financial goals.
  • Financial Solutions: Offer a range of financial products and services, including everyday banking, retail investments, lending solutions, and small business solutions.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify customer needs and provide recommendations for financial solutions.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their financial goals and providing guidance and support to help them achieve their objectives.
  • Business Development: Identify opportunities to grow BMO's business by reaching out to new customers and building relationships within the community.
  • Risk Management: Apply the risk management framework to protect the Bank's assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio.
  • Credit Recommendations: Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, in accordance with sound credit granting principles and Bank policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the branch and market team to achieve business objectives and deliver exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Typically between 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial services.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and connections with customers. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and respond flexibly to new challenges.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions, as well as retail investments and lending products.
