About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance activities to identify and report defects and issues.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects and issues, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior analysts on testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Work closely with senior managers and directors to capture data and information related to project delivery and status.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • At least 5+ years of quality assurance experience, with a focus on manual testing and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and Scrum or Kanban frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and develop junior analysts.
