At Interfor, we're seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Superintendent to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our equipment, supervising a team of maintenance technicians, and implementing best practices in maintenance management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Supervise and train a team of maintenance technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of assets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in maintenance management.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as industrial engineering or mechanical engineering.
  • 5-7 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a heavy industry setting.
  • Proven track record of leading a team and implementing successful maintenance programs.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
