Job Summary
Mackenzie Health seeks a highly skilled Operations Manager to lead the Perioperative Services team. Reporting to the Clinical Program Director, this role is responsible for overseeing the business aspects of Perioperative Services, including materials management, supply chain optimization, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve OR efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with surgeons and clinical divisions to ensure alignment with Quality Based Procedure (QBP) funding allocations and revenue opportunities
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
- Develop and maintain dashboards and other data collection tools to monitor and analyze key performance indicators
- Work closely with the Clinical Program Director to develop and implement business cases to drive change within the organization
Requirements
- University degree in a related field (Business, Finance, etc.)
- 3-5 years of healthcare experience
- Minimum of three years' recent and related experience in financial management and inventory control in a healthcare setting
- Proven project management skills with the ability to plan, organize, and coordinate various activities
- Experience analyzing financial business performance and developing business cases to lead change within the organization
- Strong financial planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Solid research and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly define and articulate requirements, priorities, impacts, and solutions
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of leadership experience
- Operating room experience
