Our client, a market leader in the mechanical industry, is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to fill a critical role. Estimated salary for this position ranges between $90,000 and $140,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and complete detailed Field Labour, Incidental Labour, and Indirect Labour estimates;
  • Take the Lead Estimator Role for any size project and provide analysis to influence the sequencing of all works packages to achieve the desired outcome;
  • Interact effectively with other departments within the company to bring good value engineering solutions to the table and minimize unnecessary risks;
  • Influence suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and other external bodies effectively;

This role requires a post-secondary degree or diploma in construction/engineering, Construction Technology, or an appropriate field. A minimum of eight years of industry and estimating experience in Multi Unit Residential and ICI sector is required. The successful candidate must be able to read and interpret building specifications, drawings, and as-builts. Proficiency in using cost-estimating software to prepare cost quotes and bids is essential. Experience with Accubid and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) is also required.

Requirements:

They must maintain a professional, positive, working relationship with all employees, executives, clients, and engineering consultants to achieve cost-effective solutions for the project.
