Banquet Captain Job Description

As a key member of the Banquet management team at Canad Inns Destination Centre Club Regent Casino Hotel, the Banquet Captain plays a vital role in ensuring the successful execution and administration of banquet functions. This position requires a strong focus on delivering exceptional service and exceeding guest expectations while upholding the company's standards of service excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate staff activities to ensure seamless execution of banquet functions.
  • Review and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to facilitate effective team setup and assignments.
  • Ensure that tables are set correctly and uniformly in assigned areas, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with the Culinary Department to develop cost control systems that minimize waste in food, supplies, and labor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Banquet team.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in banquet management or a related field.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations, ensuring excellent service delivery.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
