Job Summary

Picks copper off moving conveyor, cleans around mill, assists shredder mechanics in changing out conveyors, bearing shafts, and greasing. Reliable transportation to and from the work site is required as it is not accessible by transit.

Key Responsibilities

• Keeps work area clean and ready to go daily
• Keeps conveyor pulleys clean
• Picks only copper to ensure quality material is shipped to our customers
• Reports any issues that arise immediately
• Assists shredder mechanics during projects
• Assists in meeting monthly production goals

Requirements

• Completion of High School and/or equivalent
• Ability to push, pull, and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for up to 8 hours, regular walking, squatting, and climbing
• Ability to learn and follow direction
• Mechanically inclined
• Self-motivated: Initiates and takes action before being required to do so
• Strong work ethic: Uses time efficiently, works safely, and ensures everyone around him is working safely
• Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken
