About the Opportunity

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer reports to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, as a member of the Diagnostic Imaging Team performs patient care, technical activities, and duties directly related to the overall functioning of the department. The purpose of this position involves the performance of routine and specialized ultrasound procedures in the Diagnostic Imaging Department ensuring proper application of ultrasound techniques and procedures.

Travel to other sites may be required.

About You

We're looking for a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer who is a graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound and holds Sonography Canada certification. You should also have Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure and current CPR Certification. Previous experience is an asset, and registration with more than one ultrasound credential is also an asset.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent full-time position with 75 hours biweekly. You'll be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. The hourly rate is $34.24 - $39.96.
