Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects. This will involve utilizing quantity take-off procedures, advising on tendering procedures, and liaising with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure that estimates are accurate and meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accuracy of estimates
  • Advise on tendering procedures to ensure that estimates meet project requirements
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure that estimates are accurate and meet project requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy of estimates
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Client focus and ability to work as part of a team
