Job Title: Personal Care Attendant

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Personal Care Attendant to join our team at Heffermans Guest Home. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care services to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including their living areas and common spaces.
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, as needed.
  • Participate in recreational activities and social events with residents.
  • Collaborate with the nursing staff to develop and implement care plans for residents.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a personal care or nursing role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull residents as needed.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
