About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead institutional projects and work closely with clients to deliver projects in a timely manner
  • Act as a technical reference in building mechanicals and solve complex engineering problems
  • Act as a mentor and share building engineering knowledge with junior employees
  • Confirm accuracy of drawings and specifications for projects under their supervision
  • Coordinate the work of team members and various professionals, and ensure collaboration with other internal disciplines
  • Ensure communication with clients to assess project progress and ensure that their opinions and requests are taken into consideration
  • Collaborate closely with clients to solve any issues related to projects, such as technical and budgetary requests
  • Carry out contract monitoring (including budgets), and draft contract amendments
  • Act as a project manager for projects under their supervision and follow-up on WIP/AR in collaboration with staff involved
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 20 years of professional experience
  • Portfolio of diversified institutional building projects (primarily schools and hospitals)
  • Experience in consulting engineering, in the private, public or semipublic building sectors
  • In-depth knowledge of financial concepts and excellent budget monitoring skills
  • Proven project management abilities
  • Strong technical credibility and willingness to share technical expertise with clients and the team
