Job Summary:

In this role, you will play a vital part in the pre-press stage of our printing process as a Flexographic Plate Mounting Specialist. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately mount flexographic printing plates onto cylinders or sleeves while ensuring precise alignment and registration. You will also maintain the organization and cleanliness of the art room, including storage for plates and print proofs, and assist with cleaning and maintaining press sleeves and cylinders.

About the Role:

  • Prepare flexographic plates for mounting, ensuring they are clean, defect-free, and properly trimmed.
  • Mount flexographic plates onto cylinders or sleeves according to job specifications, maintaining precise alignment and registration.
  • Inspect mounted plates for accuracy and quality control.
  • Troubleshoot any issues with plate mounting and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the art room and storage areas.
  • Clean and maintain press sleeves and cylinders to ensure optimal printing performance.
  • Assist with various tasks during downtime, such as general cleaning or helping other departments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Flexographic plate mounter or similar role in the printing industry is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Adaptability to assist with various tasks during downtime.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift and maneuver heavy cylinders or sleeves.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $20.25 per hour (once training is complete).
