Job Title: Apprentice Mechanic

First Student Canada-Transco is seeking an Apprentice Mechanic to join our team in Grande Prairie, AB.

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist our Journeyman Technicians with vehicle maintenance and repairs. As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, assisting with repairs, and ensuring our vehicles are safe for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Assist Journeyman Technicians with repairs, including diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and meets company safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work completed.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Previous experience in gas or diesel vehicle repair is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
