**Job Description:**
The Environmental Services Associate supports patient care by maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized unit at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. This role is part of the Environmental Services team and is responsible for ensuring a healthy and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the unit, including patient rooms and common areas.
- Disposing of waste and managing cleaning supplies in accordance with policies.
- Reporting damaged equipment and safety hazards to the Supervisor/Manager.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
- Experience in cleaning duties.
- Knowledge of WHMIS regulations and mechanical equipment.
- Basic computer skills and data-entry abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
