About La Luce RistoranteWe are a fast-paced Italian restaurant in the heart of the city, seeking an experienced Head Pastry Artisan to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for creating innovative desserts and pastries that exceed our customers' expectations.
Estimated Salary$60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have at least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a pastry chef in a similar environment. You should be comfortable working in a noisy, hot kitchen with occasional odors and be able to stand for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate and manage supplies: Accurately estimate the quantity and cost of ingredients and supplies needed for daily operations.
- Train and supervise staff: Instruct cooks and other kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques.
- Create new recipes: Develop innovative dessert and pastry dishes to stay ahead of customer trends.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate: A strong foundation in mathematics and science is essential for success in this position.
- Leadership skills: The ability to motivate and train staff is crucial in this fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail: Ensure that all products meet high quality standards before presentation to customers.
