At McIntyre Finishing Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster
  • Clean and prepare surfaces
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • English language proficiency

Working Conditions:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Permanent work term
