Field Engineer/Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Field Engineer/Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Michels Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a strong safety culture, controlling project expenditures, and monitoring design changes.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers.
- Control project expenditures and prepare engineering control documents.
- Monitor design changes and contract extras.
- Review, analyze, and resolve field construction problems/discrepancies.
- Provide interpretation of plans, detail sheets, and specifications for contractors or craft supervision.
- Uphold company culture and core values.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree in a specific discipline with 5-7 years' experience or a Tech diploma with 6-8 years related experience.
- Related construction experience with a contractor; heavy civil, civil works, mechanical, and electrical.
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Primavera, Microsoft Project, Blue Beam.
- Experience with chambers, structural work, valves, and subcontract management.
Language:
- Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language in English.
