About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Damascus, Café and bakery. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas.
  • Operate dishwashers, wash and sanitize dishes, and handle and store cleaning products.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
Work Environment

Our café is a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service. As a Kitchen Helper, you will be expected to work under pressure and maintain a high level of productivity while ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
