Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Diamond Canada Dearness Inc. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Train or arrange for training for maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  • Problem-Solving and Technical Advice: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Personnel Management: Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions to ensure the team is well-staffed and equipped to handle maintenance tasks.
  • Reporting and Coordination: Prepare and maintain progress reports, and establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units.
  • Supervision and Scheduling: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of maintenance workers, and possibly review their performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities management role is preferred.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
