Mud Systems Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Solids Control Field Technician to join our team at Stage 3 Separation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical processes used to enhance drilling operations and recycle drilling mud through closed-loop systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all equipment and systems are operating to Stage 3 Separation standards and policies.
- Operate, monitor, and control process levels, mud weights, pressures, and flows for applicable processes and systems in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collect and validate all critical data required to complete daily reports.
- Regularly attend and actively participate in safety meetings, identify any safety issues to your supervisor, report all incidents, and assist in investigations.
- Maintain safe and clean equipment and work areas.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and duties, including heavy equipment operation, moving equipment, transferring drill cuttings, equipment cleaning, and housekeeping requirements.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Previous field experience in the Oil and Gas industry required; dewatering and solids control experience preferred.
- Heavy Equipment certification (excavator, and forklift) would be considered an asset but not required.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, swing, and nights, as well as weekends and holidays (14 days on/7 days off).
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office and other computer systems.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
- Effective organizational skills required.
