Building Technician

Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board seeks a skilled Building Technician to join their team. This role involves working with AutoCad drawings and preventive maintenance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for updating building plans and the preventive maintenance platform database. Key tasks include using AutoCad software, preparing and updating plans, drawings, and diagrams, consulting various information sources, performing calculations, and carrying out measurements.

To be considered, candidates must hold a diploma in Building Systems Technology or an equivalent recognized by the competent authority. A year of drawing experience is required, along with proficiency in AutoCad and Microsoft Office. Fluency in French (oral and written) and basic English language skills are necessary.

The estimated salary range for this position is $24.36 to $33.95 per hour, based on 35 hours of work per week. The salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This full-time regular position comes with four weeks of annual vacation, two weeks off during the holiday season, and the possibility of telework. Group insurance and a pension plan are also provided.

The job schedule is flexible, allowing for a balance between work and personal life. The immediate supervisor will be the Maintenance Coordinator in the Material Resources and Transportation Department.
