We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our agribusiness team at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. in the Brandon area. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing electrical support for our facilities in Manitoba.

• Perform repairs and maintenance on water wells, cisterns, and systems, with a focus on minimizing production downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical code specifications, drawings, and blueprints to ensure compliance and safety.
• Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, case assemblies, and other electrical components.
• Repair and troubleshoot production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Complete preventative maintenance schedules, work orders, and equipment tracking to ensure efficient operations.
• Contribute to the development of the preventative maintenance program by submitting recommendations for improvement.
• Provide on-the-job training on ventilation controls, alarm systems, and other equipment as required.
• Conduct assessments and audits of facilities and equipment to identify areas for improvement.
• Document and record all finished and unfinished scheduled work orders.
• Seek out and apply best practices to correct deficiencies and improve processes.

• Journeyman Electrician license in the province of Manitoba.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently with all operations.
• Self-directed and motivated team player with excellent computer knowledge.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a farm atmosphere.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and ability to work at various heights and in confined spaces.
