Job Title: Biomedical Systems Modelling GTA

Are you a graduate student looking for a teaching assistant position in Biomedical Systems Modelling? We are seeking a highly motivated and organized GTA to assist with the preparation, lab/tutorial grading, and other duties for our Winter 2025 course.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for labs/tutorials to ensure a strong grasp of content, procedures, and assignments.
  • Grade lab/tutorial-related assessments.
  • Prepare lab/tutorial materials as needed.
  • Other relevant duties as needed.
  • Invigilate midterm and final exams.
  • Supervise and facilitate labs/tutorials.
  • Proctor in lab tests, exams, and quizzes.
  • Demonstrate and explain the use of equipment.
  • Help students perform technical procedures.
  • Assist students in project work in specified laboratories/tutorials.
Contract Hours:

Preparation, invigilation: up to 7 hours/term for first section only.

Preparation, lab/tutorial grading and other duties: 9 hours/term.

Lab supervision and facilitation: 24 hours/term.

Estimated total hours of work for first section: 40.

Estimated total hours of work per section for any additional section of the same course: 33.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a GTA with a strong research background and in-depth knowledge of the subject material. Relevant software/hardware experience in subject matter is also required. Past TA/GA experience is an asset.

Salary & Compensation:

Master: $47.06 per hour.

PhD: $50.82 per hour.
