Job Summary:



We are seeking an experienced Cable Installation Team Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the installation of cable systems, manage teams, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Supervise and coordinate the work of cable installation teams
  • Prepare production and other reports as required
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to meet deadlines
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure team members have the necessary skills
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed on all job sites
  • Read blueprints and electrical schematics to understand project requirements
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units


Requirements:



To be successful in this role, you must have:




  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in cable installation or a related field
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with CADD and other computer software systems used in cable installation
  • Ability to estimate costs and materials accurately
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
  • Basic security clearance
  • Eligible for professional liability insurance
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week


Compensation:



The estimated annual salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 CAD, depending on qualifications and experience.
