About the Role

Goraya Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting our carpenters in various tasks related to building and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Assist in Framing and Building: Assist carpenters in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials in a safe and organized manner.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work on construction equipment and tools.
  • Remove Debris: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Environment: The work environment is outdoors, with exposure to dust, heights, and confined spaces.
  • Work Setting: The role requires flexibility and willingness to relocate for work assignments.
  • Security and Safety: A criminal record check is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience in the construction industry is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: The role requires working 30-40 hours per week.
