Position Overview

This role involves integrating business requirements into technology and ensuring our operations function effectively in relation to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Standards.

As a Compliance Technologist, you'll work with senior technicians on projects involving multiple departments to install, upgrade or repair critical business systems, including SQL, Hyper-V and Layer 2 and 3 networking devices.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and design information systems, data centers, virtual infrastructures, networking components and security.
  • Provide technical support, system administration and system development.
  • Develop quality documentation and evidence of completed tasks for internal and external audits.
  • Manage requests from various business groups through the CIP change control process.
  • Implement technical solutions based on best practices and our existing infrastructure and software portfolio.

What We're Looking For:

  • A post-secondary Technology diploma in Computer Science, Electronics Technology or related field.
  • Two years' relevant technology experience.
  • Basic knowledge in programming, scripting and/or database query languages.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
