Job Summary

This is a permanent position requiring a caregiver to work 30 to 35 hours per week, providing assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and household duties.

Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as administering medications and providing emotional support.
  • Household Duties: Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation, ensuring a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Companionship: Engage in activities with clients, such as reading, watching movies, or going for walks, to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with shopping, bill paying, and other errands as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Setting: Work in employer's/client's home.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and walking.
  • Weight Handling: Between 61 and 80 kg (135-176 lbs).
