Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine checks and maintenance on production lines and equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using PLC logic and other diagnostic tools.
  • Perform electro-mechanical repairs to high-speed plant and equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Communicate effectively with production teams to provide timely updates on breakdowns and maintenance activities.
  • Support the maintenance of plant facilities and services, including compressed air, refrigeration, and steam systems.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance routines.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to achieve targets and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement solutions to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 Mechanical and/or Electrical Qualification.
  • BS7671 18th Edition certification (17th Edition acceptable with ongoing commitment to 18th).
  • Experience working in a meat/food production environment (desirable).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, PLC control, refrigeration, and PTW systems (desirable).
  • Strong diagnostic and root cause analysis skills.
  • Proactive and adaptable attitude with a willingness to upskill and learn new disciplines.
  • Sound understanding of integrity and compliance to relevant legislation and company processes.
  • Commitment to good practice and high-quality work.
  • Fluent English communication skills with the ability to work with multi-national teams.
