Charger Logistics is seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy individual to join our dynamic team as a MongoDB Database Administrator at our office.

**Key Responsibilities**

  1. Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB database software and related tools to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  2. Monitor database performance and optimize queries to guarantee high performance and efficiency.
  3. Implement and maintain database security, including access controls, encryption, and data integrity to safeguard sensitive information.
  4. Design and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity.
  5. Perform database migrations and upgrades as required to maintain data consistency.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  7. Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database schemas and queries to improve data management.
  8. Develop and maintain documentation related to database configuration, procedures, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing.
  9. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database administration to remain competitive.
  10. Experience with MongoDB as a service as well as Kubernetes environment is highly desirable.

**Requirements**

  1. 2+ years of proven work experience as a MongoDB Database Administrator or similar role, with a focus on setting up and managing large-scale MongoDB databases.
  2. Strong understanding of MongoDB architecture, including replica sets, sharded clusters, and data distribution.
  3. Knowledge of Kafka, SQL Server, DB2 is an asset.
  4. Proficiency in MongoDB database performance tuning and optimization techniques and experience with MongoDB backup and recovery strategies, including point-in-time recovery and disaster recovery procedures is a must.
  5. Knowledge of MongoDB security features and best practices for securing MongoDB databases.
  6. Familiarity with MongoDB monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as MongoDB Cloud Manager, Ops Manager, or third-party solutions.
  7. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex database issues.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  9. MongoDB certifications (e.g., MongoDB Certified DBA) are highly desirable.
