Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Tender Love & Care Daycare Inc. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, fostering a love for learning and exploration.
  • Order supplies and equipment, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our children.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, promoting self-expression and confidence.
  • Engage children in activities, preparing crafts and snacks, and arranging rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior, maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all children and staff.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, fostering a sense of community and teamwork.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, promoting a network of support and resources.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours, providing a supportive and engaging environment.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.Requirements
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in early childhood education.
    • Permanent employment.
    • English as the primary language of communication.
    • 30 to 40 hours per week.
