At BIG BEAR FOOD MART, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train a team of sales staff, including apprentices and design team members
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training
  • Order merchandise and authorize returns
  • Establish work schedules and manage cash
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
  • Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers
  • Manage cash and conduct performance reviews
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in retail management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
  • Ability to work in a non-smoking, air-conditioned environment
