We are seeking a skilled Lab Patient Technician to join our team in Brantford and Paris, ON. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our specimen collection process.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet and interact with patients, explaining the specimen collection process and ensuring they follow necessary test protocols.
- Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and conduct ECG tracings.
- Collect and prepare specimens for transportation and testing, including medical/legal drug screens, paternity tests, and clinical trials.
- Maintain client relationships, respond to inquiries, and follow up on requests.
- Enter patient demographics, requisition information, and other relevant data into our system.
- Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy experience and excellent communication skills.
- Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to strict standards of patient privacy.
