Finance Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Specialist to join our client's dynamic team in Woodbridge, ON. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the real estate sector and a strong understanding of reporting for real estate assets. Key responsibilities include:

• Generating monthly financial reports tailored to various levels of management, including senior leadership, property managers, asset managers, and other business unit leaders.
• Overseeing quarterly and annual financial reporting for external stakeholders, including the preparation of Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) and quarterly reports.
• Producing reports for external investment partners, such as property packages and quarterly asset management updates.
• Conducting portfolio-level forecasting, including fund performance analysis, Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, distributions, commissions, and trailer fee calculations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• An undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in public accounting, Corporate FP&A, and/or external financial reporting.
• Strong Excel modeling skills and the ability to construct professional PowerPoint presentations.
• A strong understanding of statements of earnings, balance sheet, cash flows, NAV, IRR, ROIC, and accounting principles, specifically IFRS.
• High attention to detail and excellent relationship building and collaborative working style.

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits may include health insurance, retirement savings plan, and professional development opportunities.
