About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Valuations Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the valuation of securities and financial instruments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic oversight to business line development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the valuation of securities and financial instruments, including ABOR, IBOR, Custody, and Asset Owners.
  • Contribute to the development of SecVal strategy and ensure its implementation across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and escalation procedures.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to support NNB, Alpha onboarding, client change, and Ops model changes.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to conduct periodic business reviews, identify risks, and implement remedial actions.
  • Provide strategic oversight to business line development, identifying key issues and trends.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including team members, department heads, and external partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams to facilitate the assignment and resolution of departmental issues.
  • Carry out assignments with minimal supervision, creatively overcoming roadblocks and developing solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, responding quickly to difficult situations and resolving them with minimal guidance.
  • Represent the department and team in cross-functional meetings and external industry events.
  • Support diversity strategy by encouraging the recruitment and retention of diverse individuals and educating existing employees on the benefits of a diverse workforce.
  • Serve as a key resource to clients on functional area of expertise.
  • Monitor and stay abreast of industry changes and events impacting valuation, liaising with external bodies and internal departments as needed.
Requirements
  • Competent to Expert with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Finance or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of related experience, including previous experience managing staff.
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel, Access, and Macros.
  • Familiarity with the use of Bloomberg and Reuters terminals.
  • Understanding of financial instruments and capital markets.
  • Securities pricing knowledge and experience.
  • Proven negotiation and influencing skills.
