Janitorial Site Supervisor

Job Summary

The Janitorial Site Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the activities of Industrial Janitors and Floor Professionals to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and maintenance of our site facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet daily with the Manager to discuss duties and requirements for the work area
  • Provide positive leadership and set an example for subordinates
  • Conduct site inspections for assigned regions
  • Assist with general cleaning tasks, including trash removal, dusting, cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, classrooms, restaurant seating, and production areas, as well as window washing
  • Assist with floor maintenance, including sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming floors, buffing floors, stripping and waxing floors, stone care, carpet cleaning, carpet spotting, and upholstery cleaning
  • Read and explain MSDS sheets
  • Coach and train staff
  • Ensure all health and safety processes are completed and compliant
  • Manage finances within budget requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of residency in Canada for clearance purposes
  • Experience in floor care, including scrubbing, buffing, and polishing floors
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. for 3 to 8 hours per shift
  • Clear criminal background check required
  • Basic computer skills
