Job Summary

Bombardier's Biggin Hill Service Centre is a leading maintenance facility in the UK, providing top-notch services to business aircraft operators. We are seeking a skilled Wheels Mechanic to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and inspect aircraft components, including wheel assemblies, batteries, and structures.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul tasks as per supplied documents, manuals, and regulatory instructions.
  • Train, coach, and support other employees in their roles.
  • Complete end-to-end component MRO assignments across various workshops as required.
  • Perform basic and complex repairs on aircraft components.
  • Apply human factors, human performance, and limitations knowledge, as well as EWIS and CDCCL principles when relevant.
  • Raise Form 1s and confirm the airworthiness of serviceable components.
  • Work collaboratively with the team across different shift patterns to carry out essential MRO tasks and ensure tasks are completed to the required standard.
  • Review, recommend, and update component MRO tasks performed by themselves or under supervision.
  • Stay current with MRO industry best practices.
Requirements
  • UK CAA & EASA Part 145 MRO experience and a sound technical understanding of aircraft wheels and brakes.
  • At least six months of relevant aircraft/component maintenance experience in any consecutive two-year period.
  • Current on all training requirements (recurrent/continuation training).
  • Ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings and effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual tasks and/or aircraft status.
  • High proficiency in using standard tools, special tools, and operating ground support equipment.
  • Experience raising Service Orders and using SAP or a similar Enterprise Resource Planning system.
