Energy Management Systems Designer

At Carrier, we are dedicated to designing and delivering innovative building automation systems that provide the highest possible energy efficiency, while ensuring occupant comfort.
As an Energy Management Systems Designer, you will be responsible for the complete design of energy management and control systems for commercial and institutional buildings such as airports, hospitals, and academic institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project documentation to create control drawings as per customer design standards;
- Identify equipment compatibility issues and design discrepancies;
- Select materials to meet project requirements, specifications, codes, and customer standards;
- Write sequence of operations based on HVAC principles and building codes;
- Coordinate design requirements with the Project Manager and field team;
- Complete assigned projects focusing on customer satisfaction and specification compliance;
- Manage material procurement and request quotations;
- Assist the sales team in pre-bid meetings and evaluation of tender drawings;
- Propose energy saving opportunities to the client;
- Conduct site visits and collaborate with clients and contractors on technical issues;
- Develop commissioning checklists and issue Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a College Diploma in Building Automation Systems, Electrical, Controls and Automation, or HVAC;
- 3+ years experience with HVAC and/or BAS protocols: BACnet/MSTP, BACnet/IP, Modbus;
- 3+ years experience with Computer Networking Systems;
- 3+ years experience with DDC Systems and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control;
- 3+ years experience with CAD Tools, preferably with Visio or AutoCAD;
- 5+ years experience with Microsoft Suite at a proficient level;
- 1+ years experience with Building Automation System Programming.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
