The Meat Clerk is a key member of our Thrifty Foods team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide superior customer service to meet customer needs, foster customer loyalty, and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.
- Meat Department Operations: Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives.
- Inventory Management: Order, receive, prep, and merchandise meat product in accordance with company inventory control procedures, as required.
- Sales and Promotions: Increase store sales by actively promoting featured products and maintaining a clean and presentable work area.
- Training and Development: Participate in the training of junior staff and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
- Communication Skills: Above average communication skills (oral and written) to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 20lbs, stand for long periods of time, and complete physical work including but not limited to bending, lifting, and reaching.
