Job Title: Painting Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Painting Supervisor to join our team at Blueline Projects Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Job Summary:

The Painting Supervisor will be responsible for supervising workers and projects, coordinating and scheduling activities, overseeing apprenticeship training, and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Oversee apprenticeship training to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Lead and instruct individuals to achieve project goals.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to management.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Organized and reliable with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Assistance with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Support for social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Recruitment of newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
  • Support for foreign credential recognition.
  • Mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
  • Diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment.
