About the Role

Scotiabank is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to lead our testing strategy and team in Toronto, Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating testing activities across various domains, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for large-scale enterprise-wide programs and projects executed in Agile methodology.
  • Lead and manage testing activities, including automation, testing, planning, coaching, and supervising tasks and/or testing teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business/product, engineering, PMO, release management, design, and QE community, to meet key objectives and advocate for quality.
  • Ensure adherence to governance and processes, timely management of any issues or escalations, and facilitate overall escalation processes.
  • Manage and review documentation, creating testing artifacts (e.g., test strategies, plans, estimates, test cases, metrics/dashboard, defects log/report, sign-offs) to ensure adherence to prescribed standards and audit requirements.
