At Visa Inc., we're seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to join our Global Data Science group. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in leveraging our rich data sets to drive business outcomes and deliver significant results to complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement predictive models to optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, and data insights.
- Provide technical leadership in a team that generates business insights based on big data, identifies impactful recommendations, and communicates findings to clients.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify opportunities and craft products out of analyses suitable for multiple clients.
- Synthesize ideas and proposals in writing and engage in productive discussions with external or internal partners.
- Provide mentorship in modern analytic techniques and business applications.
- Prioritize and lead multiple data science projects with diverse multi-functional partners.
Requirements:
- 4 years of relevant work experience with a master's degree in an analytical field, graduating between January 2024 and August 2025.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, Hive, and/or Spark.
- Experience with machine learning toolkits, Jupyter notebooks, and other relevant tools.
- Previous exposure to financial services, credit cards, or merchant analytics is a plus.
Work Authorization: Permanent work authorization to work in Canada is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.
