About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Coordinator to join our Real Property Planning and Management Branch at the National Research Council Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering services associated with managing base building and research facility operations in a world-class research technology organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and administer building management related activities and services, including facility maintenance, property management, and infrastructure support.
  • Respond to client requests and ensure that health and safety standards are met.
  • Coordinate small projects and renovations, and review blueprints to understand building systems and facility operations.
  • Work with the Real Property group, Engineering Office, and RPPM Operations & Maintenance staff to establish research facility requirements and priorities.
Requirements
  • College diploma in Architectural, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Electronic, building engineering, building mechanics, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Significant experience in building management, facility maintenance, and property management in a research or industrial setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of building operation systems, access control systems, and health and safety standards.
