Physician Internist

Eagle Ridge Hospital is seeking two skilled general internists to join its Department of Medicine. The successful candidates will be responsible for a combination of clinical care, teaching, and quality improvement in the management of complex inpatients.
The new hires will be involved in the development and running of a 15-bed Internal Medicine unit (IMU) for medically complex patients, with responsibilities including Medical Record Planning (MRP) coverage 7 days a week. They will also staff the IM Rapid Access Clinic (RAC), with all RAC overhead covered by the hospital.
A competitive fee model will be implemented, consisting of a mix of alternative payment plan (APP) and fee for service (FFS). A separate hospitalist service will handle the majority of other admitted medical inpatients, fostering an excellent relationship between internists and hospitalists.

Requirements
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Full Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership
- Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License
Compensation
An estimated salary range of $250,000 to $350,000 per year is expected, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits and compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
