">We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the General Internal Medicine Clinical Teaching Units. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients and families.
">Key Responsibilities:

- Provide patient/client-centered and evidence-informed care to promote health and assess the need for the provision of care and the treatment of health conditions.">
- Collaborate with the inter-professional team and assume a leadership role in delivering a full range of care and treatment to patients/clients including those with complex needs, high acuity, and less predictable outcomes.">
- Floating between GIM units (4MG, 5MG, and 4BD) to support program needs.">
- Fulfilling temporary leave of absences on one GIM unit or floating between GIM units on a day-to-day basis as needed.">
Required Skills and Qualifications:
">- ">
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.">
- Current BCLS/HCP certification.">
- Demonstrated knowledge, sensitivity, and expertise in the care of seniors and their families.">
- Gentle Persuasive Approach training preferred.">
- RNAO, CNA, or other professional association membership preferred.">
- Recent related general medicine and/or geriatric nursing experience preferred.">
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients/clients and families.">
- Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively and communicate clearly with members of the interdisciplinary team.">
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning, professional development, and continuous quality improvement.">
- Demonstrated basic skill level with computers, MS Word, incident reporting systems, internet searches, data entry, and patient information systems.">
- Demonstrated strong leadership, problem solving, critical thinking, team building, and interpersonal skills.">
- Excellent work performance and attendance record.">
