About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team at No. 24 Cafe & Bistro. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Bakery Operations: Bake mixed dough and batters, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and consistency in our kitchen.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure that all products meet our established standards.
  • Machinery Operation: Operate machinery safely and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
