Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking a skilled Shear Operator to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently, with a focus on risk management and adherence to procedures.
  • Assist machine operators, assemblers, and other team members to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Accurately use machinery software to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
  • Clean and maintain machines and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Regularly inspect machines prior to use, identifying any irregularities and reporting them to the maintenance technician to minimize downtime.
  • Comply with AGF's Health & Safety policies and procedures, as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in manufacturing, with basic math and measurement skills. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to learn various types of manufacturing equipment, work physically, and lift/move up to 50lbs. Good communication skills, multi-tasking, and a strong capacity for teamwork are essential for this role.
