Key Responsibilities

As a Research Assistant at The Bank of Canada, you will play a crucial role in supporting our economic and financial research teams. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in research projects on innovative topics, collaborating with senior researchers to advance the understanding of economic trends and policy impacts.
  • Contributing to the publication of reports, such as the Monetary Policy Report, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Developing and maintaining databases, models, and other tools to support research activities.
  • Providing data analysis and visualization support to researchers and other stakeholders.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have completed a bachelor's degree between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2025, in a relevant field such as economics, finance, mathematics, or statistics.

You must possess excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities, as well as experience in data collection and analysis. Proficiency with tools like MATLAB, Python, EViews, R, and SQL is also required.

Language and Security Requirements
