About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team at Sandhu Drywall Ltd as a Helper, Painter and Decorator. In this role, you will assist our experienced tradespeople with various tasks on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials from vehicles and equipment.
  • Site Preparation: Help to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mixing and Applying Materials: Assist in mixing and applying materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assisting Tradespeople: Assist experienced tradespeople with tasks such as drilling and blasting rock, framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Clean-up and Salvage: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks as part of the job.
Requirements
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
  • Training Provided: Willingness to train and learn new skills.
