Vancouver Coastal Health is a leading healthcare provider in British Columbia, Canada.
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nephrology Specialist to join our team at Vancouver General Hospital.
About the Role
This position involves providing high-quality patient care and teaching clients and families about the management and treatment of chronic renal failure.
You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to enhance quality of life from the client's perspective.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nephrology nursing and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to clients with end-stage renal disease
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care to meet client priorities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in nephrology nursing
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in nursing with a focus on nephrology or related field
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in dialysis nursing or related field
- Strong knowledge of renal disease, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and nocturnal dialysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position is estimated to be between CAD $41.42/Hr. and CAD $55.91/Hr., depending on experience.
