Job Overview

BioVectra is seeking a skilled Mechanical Process Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of equipment and ensuring that all processes meet the required safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in design review activities to select and specify equipment.
  • Conduct Process Hazard Analysis activities to identify potential risks in process safety systems.
  • Oversee the installation of equipment according to manufacturer recommendations or engineering design.
  • Review and revise piping and instrumentation drawings (PIDs), facility and equipment drawings, and update AutoCAD drawings.
  • Troubleshoot process systems, equipment, and instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate project work with external partners and contractors.
  • Develop commissioning documentation and execute commissioning test functions.
  • Perform qualification protocols to test equipment.
  • Assess impact on equipment and utilities to determine critical components.
  • Write maintenance and operation procedures and train staff on equipment use and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, CET, or MET.
  • Experience in a project-based work environment.
  • Industrial experience in a GMP environment is an asset.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving, coordination, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a regulated environment.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
